As long as I was already in the Upper Peninsula, I decided to stop in for a visit at Fayette Historic State Park. I love visiting the historic townsite on Big Bay de Noc where pig iron was manufactured from 1867 to 1891. I find it fascinating to walk through the town and imagine the people who once lived and labored in such a beautiful setting. Do you suppose their work load seemed easier because of the lovely view of the white dolomite cliffs across the bay? It was rather cold on the day that we visited and evening dark was coming on quickly so we made a fast pass and then out but it was lovely with very few people in the park.
After 25 years of providing computer support to others, I decided to run away! I sold my home, purchased a small teardrop camper, and set out to explore the world. As I prepared to head into my journey, I discovered many folks cheering me on, eager to follow my travels, and asking me to share my adventures along the way. This blog is the result of those promises. I hope you’ll enjoy following along. If you want to contact me: firstname.lastname@example.org
So here I go – Into the Journey!
